About CES - Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter
With members from across Newfoundland and Labrador, CES-NL promotes the value and usefulness of evaluation as a tool for organizations in planning, delivering and assessing the results of their programs and services.
We do this by offering events and activities that:
- Promote awareness of evaluation and its value to government, community and private sector organizations
- Build evaluation knowledge and skills through a broad range of professional development opportunities, including nationally developed workshops delivered by skilled professionals
- Focus on timely professional development topic relevant to our province
- Provide networking opportunities for those who 'do' and those who 'use' evaluation
- Advocate the use of evaluation by policy and decision makers
- Help students develop practical evaluation skills and knowledge, through a national case competition, essay contest and various professional development sessions
